NPD recommendation - Cereal & Breakfast

Russia is following the healthy breakfast trend and relying on nature: we recently launched a product with fermented oatmeal mixed with fruits, berries, or non-fruit ingredients like chocolate or nuts. Our favourite is oatmeal with plums, which is eaten either cold or heated up.

To honour the flaxseed trend in Mexico we currently brought a new drinking yogurt to the market: it has a nutty flavor and offers a wonderful balance between taste and nutrition especially when combined with apple, for example.

Europe focuses on tradition combined with new flavors; oatmeal gets a lot of hype, and it is eaten with apple and cinnamon, bananas or even prunes. Gluten-free muesli with cornflakes or buckwheat is another trend, and, naturally, if it’s trendy in 2015, then it has to crunch: namely, by adding four-grain choco-crunchies or crunchy muesli cookies.

Brazil prefers yogurts with cereal combination and mixes bananas with muesli, fruit pieces with nuts, and fruit salad with granola. Also trendy: seven-grain mixtures.

Asia likes trendy grains like oats, quinoa and amaranth – for additional crunch Asian breakfast fans add sesame and some Mango for a fresh and fruity taste.

The US combines their yogurt products with traditional Swiss Muesli with seasonal fruits like orange, apple, apricot or blueberries.
